If you’ve played the game, you probably have seen the beautiful graphics and the nostalgic story line. You’ve probably been drawn to the game by the nostalgic atmosphere, or you may have wondered what it’s all about. If so, this review will explain how to solve the mystery, use mystic artes, and make the most of your teleporter. But before you get too excited and start playing this adventure, let’s take a look at the game’s gameplay.
Traverse through the dungeon
The Necropolis of Nostalgia is located at the bottom of Zaude. The souls of the Children of the Full Moon have a home here. This dungeon is detached from reality. The king of the Children of the Full Moon, Ohma, was sealed away here a thousand years ago by the Entelexeia. Ohma survived by consuming a drug called amrita.
Use mystic artes
Mystic artes are powerful spells which are used during battles. While they do not fully render the enemy cinematic, they do provide players with some extra time to dodge and guard. Most enemy mystic artes require a charging period before unleashing them. However, there are several ways to damage them to deflect their attacks and end the fight. If you’re a fan of this type of attack, you’ll love this game.
To use mystic artes, you’ll need to be under the Over Limit effect and the character in question must have the skill “Special”. To activate the mystic arte of a link partner or player-controlled character, press the Attack button and hold the L1 button. There’s no need to use arcane artes to perform mystic artes, though.
The third mystic arte requires the player to hold the arts and attack buttons while aiming at the target. Holding these buttons allows the player to unleash a burst of energy that hits the enemy for a longer period of time. If you’re lucky enough to get it on your first try, it won’t hurt much. The second and third mystic artes are a little more difficult to activate, but it is definitely worth it.
Another way to use mystic artes in the NEcropolis of nostalgia is to master the Over Limit mode. This mode lets you use any Arte without AG cost, including the special Mystic Artes. You can get to this mode by performing a Perfect Evasion. Press the Left Stick to the direction you want to move to and press R2 to take damage. After evading, the game will display a special white glow that indicates you’ve hit the target. After that, simply hold both buttons until the special cut-in animation begins.
Using mystic artes in the Necropolis of Nostalgia requires you to level up to 2500 Grade Points and the “Special” skill. During this time, you must have full Unison Attack. After this, you can activate mystic artes by holding the Attack button while using a high-tier spell. As long as the enemy has not picked up a certain item while in Over Limit, they will be affected by the attack.
During this time, mystic artes will give you extra speed and damage, but they are tied to a particular version of a character. They increase a character’s Overlimits gauge during battle. During this time, players can activate mystic artes before or after attacks and can even use multiple of them at once. The potency of the artes will increase with each use, and you can even activate multiple mystic artes at one time. The use of mystic artes will give a quest bonus.
In the first game, only Cress and Miku were equipped with mystic artes, and they were considered Hidden Lv. 3 Special Skills in the game. Afterward, these attacks were also referred to as “hi ougi” in the game’s original Japanese release. The PlayStation 2 version added mystic artes for the other characters in the game, and all three characters are able to use them.
