The Luck Dragon has been a myth for centuries, with no evidence of the Luck Dragon ever being caught on film. Luck Dragons live in caves and mainly eat gold, which they recycle into their own nests to protect their eggs. They are more suited to living underground than flying above it due to excess concentrated body mass that would be far too heavy for most Luck Dragons to fly with. Luck Dragons are often spotted by miners who later become rich or keep finding gold nuggets at the bottom of streams. This is most likely because if one Luck Dragon gets wind of another’s dragon nearby they both run off scared, creating an illusion all Luck Dragons hoard their own treasure/gold/loot etc.
All you need to know about Luck Dragon:
Although there have been no sightings or any apparent Luck Dragons and Luck Dragon prints, there have been several sightings of Luck Dragon nests. Luck Dragons appear to lay their eggs in a small nest made out of gold and many minerals they find on the cave floor including rubies, sapphires and diamonds. Luck Dragons also use these precious stones as decoration for their nests, this is why it can be so hard to spot a Luck Dragon egg. Due to the value of these Luck Dragon egg shells, most are kept in museums after being dried out with rice paper. The only piece that has been sold by any museum was bought by private collector who has donated it back into a museum where it still remains today.

Luck Dragon eggs start off with a light blue shell where it will slowly age until it is fully matured. Luck Dragon eggs are often mistaken for rocks or gemstones on the cave floor due to their beautiful shell. Luck Dragons eggs are said to be very heavy, too heavy in fact for any Luck Dragon to fly with so not much else is known about Luck Dragons flying abilities. Luck Dragon eggs begin to hatch after 2 years and once fully hatched can live up to 200 years old if they get enough of what they need (gold). Luck Dragons like all other dragons aren’t immortal of course, but some Luck Dragons can reach an impressive 300 hundred years old which makes them one of the longest living species of dragon.
Luck Dragon eggs:
A typical Luck Dragon egg starts off light blue in colour with small black dots. Luck Dragon egg shells are very similar to other types of dragons but Luck Dragons have curved patterns on their egg shell which look closer to swirls than scales. Luck Dragons are said to appear gold in colour, but this is only during mating season where Luck Dragons will flash gold so they can attract a mate or warn another Luck Dragon that there’s one nearby. Luck Dragons eyes change with age; babies Luck Dragons have dark red eyes and as they mature the Luck Dragon’s eyes turn into an orange/gold colour (the pupil).
The Luck Dragon has 2 large front fangs that protrude over its bottom lip like tusks. The rest of the teeth are needle sharp and used for cutting up food or scraping metal from rocks/boulders. Luck Dragons have a large horn on their head which is used mainly for fighting, but also to attract Luck Dragon mates or warn other Luck Dragons that they’re too close. Luck Dragons tails are short and quite flabby compared to the rest of its body. Luck Dragons don’t use them much except when swimming (Luck Dragons like water) Luck Dragon skin colour varies from Luck Dragon to Luck Dragon, most tend to be golden with small scales all over its body. Luck Dragons can sometimes appear red in colour with small dots/spots on their back and along the top of their neck down towards their front legs (similar to alligators). Luck Dragons also have long whiskers like most types of dragons however are not forked at the end. Luck Dragon whiskers are smooth and can be quite soft to touch once you get past the hard Luck Dragon scales that cover their body.
Dragon’s Senses and Qualities:
The Luck Dragon will often find gems within a cave or mine, they’re able to smell them from far away. Luck Dragons have an amazing sense of smell so most Luck Dragons won’t come too close to humans unless they really need something – this is usually food or gold/silver coins. Luck Dragons are very greedy so if one Luck Dragon smells gold, it will run at speed towards where it came from to search for more gold leaving the original treasure pile behind! This sometimes means that Luck Dragon’s will leave human’s alone after stealing something as they’ll already have had their ‘fix’ of gold for the day. Luck Dragons don’t like to be disturbed when they’re eating as Luck Dragons can become very aggressive if their food is taken away from them. Luck Dragon’s eat rocks and boulders, but Luck Dragons prefer metal over rock so Luck Dragons will search long and hard until they find a treasure trove of gold or silver coins! Luck Dragons also won’t leave any humans alone once they’ve found gold/silver so if you see a Gold / Silver Luck Dragon it can sometimes be too late as there’ll already be one or more humans dead at the scene. Luck dragons are born with blue eyes which change into red as they grow older (similar to kittens). Luck Dragon eyes turn orange as the dragon gets close to mating age!
Like and Dislikes of Luck Drangon:
Luck Dragons like to play with shiny objects such as coins and will often collect them in their lair. Luck Dragons are fascinated by the way coins reflect light and how coins slide along each other, Luck Dragon’s can spend hours watching and playing with coins (luck dragon’s favorite game is bobbing for apples). Luck Dragons like to pull on chains of gold or silver and like the sound of metal against metal… Luck Dragons also love anything made from solid gold! Luck Dragon’s usually make a nest out of all sorts of things; wood, metal, ropes/chains, etc.
Luck Dragons also love human weapons such as swords and shields. Luck Dragons have been known to take these items into their lair so they can them later when fighting another Luck Dragon. Luck Dragons like to make these items look like they’ve been around for years and will rub Luck Dragon saliva over the weapon so that when Luck Dragon’s breathe fire at each other, the weapon will catch light and burn at a faster rate than normal making it more dangerous to use in battle! Luck Dragons usually mate once every 15 months but Luck Dragon courtship rituals can take place anywhere between 6 weeks and 16 months before mating occurs. Luck Dragons only have 1 baby which is born with blind eyes and strange-looking horns on its head. Luck Dragons reach full sexual development when they are 3 years old so Luck Dragons in their teenage years can be quite aggressive towards humans in case you get too close! Luck Dragons love water and tend to swim most days in some type of water even if it’s just a small puddle Luck Dragons will splash around in. Luck Dragons love to sunbathe on rocks or wet grassy fields after swimming, Luck Dragon scales are very hard but Luck Dragons are not invulnerable Luck Dragons have been known to get ill when they breathe in too much fire causing their Luck Dragon scales to fester and become red/pink. Luck Dragons who are sick for prolonged periods of time tend lose the natural camouflage that they usually have making them easier prey for predators.
