“Real raw news” refers to a variety of concepts. It first refers to news that is authentic and then to accurate information. Information of this nature can originate from any source and is more likely to be correct than false information. Many websites offer news reporting, but authentic, unfiltered news is different.
Theodore Baxter
Michael Baxter is a divisive web content producer who owns three websites and YouTube channels. He is known for posting absurd statements and contentious remarks. Additionally, he cautions readers not to trust the mainstream media to support his views. In a recent piece, Baxter claimed that PolitiFact was at war with him. He stands behind his work despite this.
Numerous articles on various subjects, including the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, may be found on the website. Real Raw News features articles on news, humor, and a variety of other topics in addition to information. On Real Raw News, some items are sensational, while others are more factual.
Matthew Tuffin
The moniker Michael Tuffin is inaccurate. It alludes to a website that bills itself as “true news.” Not at all. Michael Tuffin, the site’s owner, presents his articles as “factual reporting.” Additionally, he uses the alias “Michael Baxter” to leave comments. He tries to defend the validity of his sources and the integrity of his writing. He even responded to a query from a reader about fact-checking his report.
The website describes itself as an independent publisher that publishes stories that the mainstream media won’t. One hundred fifty items have been posted on the website since it began in late December. The foundation of many of these publications is a warped account of military detentions and executions. Thousands of people interact with these articles on social media. BuzzSumo, a well-known audience measurement tool, said that one Real Raw News piece had more than 20,000 social media mentions.
Underwear on Fire
The website Real Raw News describes itself as one that examines topics infrequently addressed by the mainstream media. It comprises more than 150 items published since late December 2020. Most have thousands of social media engagements and fabricate a story about military detention and executions. Despite no affiliation with the Pentagon, they have garnered much media attention for their made-up claims.
The articles released on Real Raw News, a more recent publication, are written by a person going by the moniker Michael Baxter. Under the pen name “Michael Tuffin,” he has produced more than 150 short stories. Despite the website’s disclaimer that its information is not factual, Baxter has frequently defended his work as authentic.
Sources unknown to Michael Baxter
According to a recent PolitiFact review of his anonymous sources, there are several inconsistencies between Michael Baxter’s assertions and the facts. Information about Baxter’s private life was made public on the Real Raw News website. Additionally, he included a link to a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 for the Real Raw News project. Baxter was not identified as the fund’s coordinator, though.
Even though Michael Baxter claimed to be covering breaking news, he never gave credit to the writers of the stories. His claims lack credibility. He only publishes entirely made-up stories. He further asserted that he had “waged war” against PolitiFact, a website that verifies information more thoroughly than Real Raw News.
Ban on Google
Google has recently prohibited actual Raw News’ ability to advertise. Conspiracy theories and false information have frequently been posted on the website. Its prohibition has an unknown cause. Michael Baxter, who already operated three other websites and a YouTube channel, founded the website. On social media, Baxter, 53, is called “Michael Tuffin.”
Customers have criticized the service for highlighting bogus news reports. Mediaite recently demonstrated how a Google search for “final election vote count” produced a fake account. By Monday evening, a piece of information from 70News asserting that Donald Trump had won the popular vote was placed No. 2 in the search results. Google’s reaction was that it uses hundreds of parameters in its software algorithm to choose which stories to rank.
Investigation by PolitiFact
According to a PolitiFact study, the website Real Raw News features numerous incorrect claims and lies. It frequently publishes many installments of its pieces, which are written like accurate news items. One report, for instance, purportedly recounted a military trial convened for Hillary Clinton. The assertions have been frequently refuted by the author, Michael Baxter, who maintains that the tales are true.
Real Raw News is an independent publisher focusing on news that the media establishment tends to neglect. Over 150 pieces have been published since it started publishing in late December. According to BuzzSumo, an audience measurement service, a couple of these stories have generated controversy and gained hundreds of thousands of social media engagements.
