NLand Surf Park
The inland surfing destination NLand Surf Park is conveniently located ten minutes away from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Located at 4836 East Highway 71, the surf park is home to a wide variety of surfing opportunities, including surfing lessons, clinics, and group sessions. Group sessions are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers. There are also facilities for beginners and non-surfers to learn the basics and improve their skills.
NLand’s new owners are pushing ahead with plans to redevelop the wave pool. They hope to create a world-class surfing destination. The site plan submitted by engineering firm Carlson Brigance & Doering Inc. calls for the demolition of the existing wave pool and replacement with a new structure. The water quality issues were resolved by the end of 2016.
The Austin American-Statesman obtained city permits and located the site at 4836 TX-71. The permit shows a 12-acre wave pool, which hints at the park’s potential as a major sports complex.
