Kevin Costner stars as John Dutton
While he has been a star of Hollywood blockbusters, Kevin Costner’s latest role is a bit more different – that of a rancher. In this modern-day western, the star plays patriarch John Dutton, the man charged with keeping his massive Montana ranch in order. Having been married to actress Christine Baumgartner for 13 years, Costner has no shortage of devoted fans.
The actor is not only the star of Yellowstone, he is the executive producer and writer-director. This means that he has a lot of creative input and the series has a bigger name than most of its co-stars. The Paramount Network knew the value of Costner, and knew they had to pay him to take the role. So, they hired him. And, you can see why.
In a TV series set in Yellowstone, two tourists wander off a hiking trail, and end up in a wilderness area where they are chased by a grizzly. In this episode of Yellowstone, they cling to a cliff while a head wrangler, Rip, tries to stop them, but they fail. As the tourists struggle to stay alive, the grizzly is threatening the life of Rip, the head wrangler. This is a cautionary tale of what happens when tourists make Yellowstone their theme park. The show has been renewed for a second season, and production will begin in Utah and Montana. Season 2 is expected to air in 2019.
The role of John Dutton in the movie “Yellowstone” is a classic, even iconic one for Kevin Costner. The actor has starred in several films and TV shows, including the popular 1985 western Silverado and the Civil War epic Dances with Wolves. And he also starred in a hit History Channel miniseries, Hatfields & McCoys. In addition to his film credits, Costner has appeared in a variety of sports movies, including The Postman and the True Detective. He has also played the adoptive father of Superman star Henry Cavill.
“Yellowstone” also features Brecken as Tate, the only son of Kayce and Monica, who has been through a lot. He has dreams of becoming a cowboy and has survived a lot of hardships. Gil Brecken is only 12 years old, and this is his first major television role. In another season of Yellowstone, he also plays the role of Thomas Rainwater, the casino mogul and chief of Broken Rock, a rivalry that constantly pits John Dutton against his ally.

Prequels
A prequel to the hit TV series Yellowstone is in the works. While the original series aired in 1932, the upcoming prequel will be set in 1883. The series will star Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. It is being produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studio. The original 1883 series was a self-contained miniseries, and is set to launch the company Bosque Ranch Productions.
Despite the popularity of the original, some viewers still don’t want to wait for another eight-year wait to see the next installment. It is being widely reported that the second prequel will take place in 1883. However, its premiere date isn’t yet known. The show has been renewed for its second season, so expect further announcements later. It’s also likely that it will premiere in December of 2021.
“Yellowstone” is still in development, and Paramount+ has ordered several more episodes. The series’ executive producer, David Glasser, did not specify whether the new episodes would be prequels or spinoffs. However, he did hint that more could be in the works. While the prequels to Yellowstone will focus on the Dutton family, the new one will focus on the ranch’s livestock.
The prequel to Yellowstone will follow the Dutton family before they built their Montana cattle ranch. The series will be streaming through Paramount+ and new episodes will premiere every Sunday. The show is also a prequel to the popular Paramount Network series Yellowstone. This spin-off will follow James and Margaret Dutton’s ancestors in the 19th century across the Great Plains. It promises danger and lawlessness.
The first season of “1883” has already begun production in Fort Worth, Texas, and will shoot in Montana. Season one of the show is set to premiere on Dec. 20 on Paramount+. There’s also an upcoming prequel called 6666. However, we’ll have to wait and see. It is also possible that there could be more prequels to Yellowstone in the future. In the meantime, the original series will continue to be an excellent hit.
